Policies

The fine print, in plain language.

A complete contract is sent with every booking. The terms below summarize what to expect.

  1. 1

    Hourly rental rates

    Studio space is $175/hr Mon–Thu and $250/hr Fri–Sun, including cafe space, bathrooms, tables, chairs and electrical outlets. Doors unlock at the agreed start time and lock at the agreed end time.

    Minimum rental duration

    Three hours minimum for all event rentals — includes set-up and take-down.

  3. 3

    Non-refundable booking deposit

    $250 charged at booking to secure your reservation.

  4. 4

    Security deposit

    $300 refundable deposit at booking. Refunded within one to two weeks if the space is left in good condition. Deductions may apply for damage, off-limit access, excessive cleaning, hazardous cleanup, or smoke.

    Overtime

    $25 per 15 minutes beyond the contracted end time.

  6. 6

    Payment & cancellation

    All fees due in advance. Refundable if cancelled 30+ days prior, by email to madisonmarquettehotelevents@gmail.com.

  7. 7

    Catering

    Outside caterers welcome. Limited prep space — pre-prepared menus recommended. Clients are responsible for trash and excess cleaning.

  8. 8

    Music & noise

    Recorded or live music permitted up to 65 dB. Two warnings will be issued; further violations may end the event without refund.

  9. 9

    Heating & cooling

    Indoor temperature maintained between 69–73°F. Open windows affect consistency.

  10. 10

    Wall hangings & decorations

    Nothing may be attached to the wallpaper, ever. All other décor must be pre-approved by the on-site staff member.

    On-site staff & conduct

    Direct all needs to on-site staff. Guests may not open windows, adjust the thermostat, or go behind the cafe counter.

  12. 12

    Damage & cleaning liability

    Clients are responsible for repair or replacement of damaged property. Excessive cleaning is billed at $45/hr per employee. Hazmat cleanup is a flat $200.

  13. 13

    Force majeure

    Either party may cancel without penalty for circumstances beyond their control. Deposits already paid are not refunded.
